Like most of us, Bec leads a super busy work and home life, however, after burning the candle at both ends for far too long, and her chronic health issues worsening, this mum of two, realised she needed to make lifestyle improvements to achieve her goals and lead the vibrant quality of life she desired for herself and her family.
Below is an insightful little story, that shares a bit more about how Bec jumped at the opportunity to become an Ambassador for the Vitality Health Hub and now enjoys fuelling her body with wholesome nutritional supplements that have her energised and able to keep up with the impossibly creative pursuits and demands she places upon herself.
“Seriously, why oh why would any sane person want to add more to their plate? Some may know me as a mum, a graphic designer and an artist, or simply a partner to a golf pro (otherwise known as a ‘golf widow’), but for the past twelve months I’ve also loved effortlessly sharing something that fills me with an even greater sense of purpose and that’s helping others achieve more energy, vitality and ability to live life on their terms.
Originally, I said yes to looking at this opportunity because I was concerned about both mine and my family’s health. After fracturing my ankle, and hobbling around in a moonboot for a few months, I had stacked on a whole lot of weight, I was burning the candle at both ends, being a mum, working full time, and renovating the family home by myself which left me physically and emotionally exhausted. Eating crappy food because I was too tired to prepare decent meals for my family, so increasingly made poorer decisions based on convenience, however it inevitably all took a toll on my health especially with the dreaded depression worsening. My toddlers eating habits were also getting to breaking point and I was losing the battle to get him to comply and eat his veggies.
I said yes to this venture because my so called traditional job was no longer satisfying me emotionally and thanks to Covid, it was no longer fullfilling our family’s financial needs either. As a sole trader for 14 years I was typically feeling isolated and alone. I said yes, because of the supportive network, the encouragement and tools to succeed. Because I had nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Adopting quality nutrition, including FREE fruit and veggie chewables for my kids, as well as the ability to give myself a payrise was an awesome bonus. But the friendships formed, and the warmth felt from a group of like-minded people has been a life changing advantage that I can’t help but share with all my loved ones too.”
